Our Classes

The two-year-old class offers many hands-on opportunities for the quickly growing child to develop in all aspects of learning.  Through a thematic approach carefully planned by the teacher, the child will learn basic academic skills (colors, numbers, shapes, etc.) as they continue to develop socially and emotionally. Many experiences are provided to increase language development and social skills.  The loving, nurturing environment provides the perfect atmosphere for age-appropriate development.

The hands-on,  theme-based curriculum, planned by the teacher, allows your child varied opportunities to become engaged in activities of great interest.  Our three-year-old class works on learning math concepts, such as counting, sorting, measuring, spatial recognition, ordering, one-to-one correspondence, etc., through games, activities and manipulatives.  Language development will increase as books are read a-loud and discussed, letters are presented and listening skills are encouraged.  At the same time, your child will learn to function as part of a group.  Through science exploration and discovery, they will learn more about the world, while creative art and music activities will help to provide a well-rounded curriculum.

Our pre-k class provides a wide variety of hands-on experiences to promote development in all areas of learning.  While focusing on kindergarten readiness, the curriculum is carefully planned to be individualized for each child’s educational needs.  Language development is cultivated through reading readiness, phonemic awareness, phonics and whole language experiences. Math concepts, science observation and exploration, small motor skills growth and creative art are fostered in an interesting and engaging environment. This setting encourages a steady growth in social skills, cooperative peer interactions, while providing opportunities to demonstrate independence and autonomy. All of these components combine to make a comprehensive and focused pre-kindergarten program that will benefit your child for years to come.
